Getting started.

Who is LIVVE for?

LIVVE supports adults seeking specialist support for menopause, hormone health, and medically supported weight management.

We help patients experiencing symptoms such as:

  • Hot flushes
  • Night sweats
  • Brain fog
  • Low mood or anxiety
  • Sleep problems
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Low libido
  • Weight gain or metabolic health concerns

If you’re unsure whether your symptoms may be hormone, menopause, or weight related, our specialist clinicians can help assess this during your consultation.

Who should not use LIVVE?

We are ONLY able to help with symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, or for weight management. For anything else you need to see your GP. There may be a delay or stop in your treatment if we need to refer you back to your doctor for other medical conditions.

We may not be able to prescribe treatment if you:

  • Have certain types of breast cancer
  • Have had recent blood clots
  • Have uncontrolled high blood pressure
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding

If HRT treatment isn’t appropriate, we’ll explain your options and may recommend seeing your GP or a specialist, and we can still treat you holistically, with supplement advice or non-hormonal medications.

How do I order weight management medication?

Select the Weight Management section of our website and complete the required assessment form. You will then be able to book a consultation with one of our pharmacists to discuss which treatment option may be suitable for helping you achieve your goals.

CONSULTATIONS.

How does the LIVVE process work?
  1. Book your consultation online using the ‘Start Consultation’ button on our website.
  2. Complete a short online health assessment before your appointment.
  3. Speak with one of our UK-registered clinicians via video consultation.
  4. If treatment is clinically appropriate, we can prescribe medication and arrange delivery directly to your door.

Follow-up reviews may be recommended depending on your treatment plan, to ensure safety, effectiveness, and ongoing support.

Who will I speak to during my consultation?

Your consultation will be with a UK-registered clinician experienced in menopause, hormone health, or weight management, depending on the service you book.

Our clinicians follow current UK clinical guidance, including NICE and British Menopause Society recommendations where appropriate.

How long is the consultation?

Consultation times vary depending on the service booked and your individual needs.

  • Weight-management consultations are typically around 10–15 minutes
  • Menopause and hormone-health consultations are typically around 30 minutes

Some appointments may be longer where clinically appropriate.

How does a consultation work?

Consultations take place via video call at a time that suits you. Once your booking has been confirmed and payment has been received, you will be sent a link to join your video consultation. If you cannot find this email, please check your junk or spam folder.

What if the video does not work?

We will always request your telephone number when you book so that we can contact you if there is a connection issue. If necessary, we can also continue the consultation using WhatsApp Video or FaceTime depending on what works best for you.

Can I have a face-to-face appointment?

We do not routinely offer in-person appointments. All consultations are conducted via video call with one of our prescribing pharmacists. However, we aim to be as accessible as possible. If you believe a face-to-face consultation would benefit you, please contact us and we will do our best to support you.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. We are an independent service and anyone who feels they are in need can access our services.

Do I need to fill in the assessment before I have a consultation?

Ideally yes, for new customers the assessments help us get an idea of where on your perimenopause, menopause or weight management journey you are. Even if you are not completely sure of your answers, it helps us plan for your consultation and it should only take a few minutes to complete. However, you can go straight to book your consultation and bypass the assessment if you absolutely need to.

What happens after the consultation?

After the initial consultation, we will determine the appropriate course of treatment and fulfill your prescription which will then be delivered discreetly to your door in two to three days.

Can I access your services outside of the UK?

No. Unfortunately, we can only provide consultations and treatments to patients who are physically located in the UK at the time of their consultation. You do not need to be a UK resident, but you must be in the UK for us to provide care. All medicines can only be delivered within the UK.

How do I find the details of my booking?

Please log in to your account and review your orders. By selecting your order number, you will be able to view the date and time of your consultation.

Can I reschedule my appointment?

Yes. You can reschedule your appointment through your booking confirmation email up to 48 hours before.

PERI/MENOPAUSE TREATMENT.

What treatments do you offer?

We can prescribe a range of evidence-based peri/menopause treatments, including:

  • Body-identical hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
  • Oestrogen patches, gels, and tablets
  • Progesterone
  • Testosterone (when clinically appropriate)
  • Supplements
  • Non-hormonal options

Your treatment plan will be personalised based on your symptoms and medical history.

How often will my peri/menopause treatment be reviewed?

We typically review your treatment:

  • After three months (to adjust dosage if needed)
  • Every six to 12 months after that

You can request a review sooner if your symptoms change.

What if I’m not suitable for HRT?

We recognise that HRT is not suitable for everyone, and some patients prefer alternative approaches. Our online pharmacy offers a range of non-HRT treatment options to support symptom management.

Will my GP be informed?

With your consent, we can send a summary of your treatment to your GP so your medical records remain up to date.

What happens if treatment doesn’t work?

We review your treatment after three months and can adjust dosage. Sometimes blood tests can help add clarity and precision to prescription. Whatever the reasons, we will work with you and the data to tailor a prescription that works for you.

In some cases, it may be necessary to refer you back to your GP for further testing.

Can I reorder my peri/menopause medication?

Yes. You can request repeat prescriptions through your LIVVE account when your medication is running low. Outside of a consultation, this prescription will cost £30.

Do you prescribe bio-identical hormones?

No. The term bio-identical hormones is often used to describe customised hormone preparations made by specialist compounding pharmacies. These products are not usually licensed medicines and may not be regulated or tested in the same way.

At LIVVE, we prescribe regulated body-identical hormone treatments to ensure safety, quality, and consistent dosing. These are regulated medicines that have the same chemical structure as the hormones naturally produced by your body. They are licensed treatments used in standard hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and are manufactured to strict quality and safety standards.

What weight management treatments do you offer?

We prescribe weight management medication, including:

  • Wegovy® (semaglutide)
  • Mounjaro® (tirzepatide)

Your treatment plan will be personalised based on your symptoms and medical history.

What if I’m not suitable for weight management medication?

These treatments are not suitable if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have certain thyroid conditions (including medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2)
  • Have specific gastrointestinal conditions

If you are found not suitable for weight management medication during your initial consultation you will receive a full refund.

How often will my weight management treatment be reviewed?

You will need a review every month or every time you order a new prescription in order to continue receiving weight management medication.

Will my GP be informed?

With your consent, we can send a summary of your treatment to your GP so your medical records remain up to date.

Can I reorder my weight management medication?

It is a legal requirement for us to conduct a video consultation before issuing a repeat prescription or weight management medication. Please ensure you book your follow-up consultation in advance and allow sufficient time for your medication to be processed and delivered.
