Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a treatment to relieve symptoms of the menopasue. It replaces hormones that are at a lower level as you approach the menopause.

The main benefit of HRT is that it can help relieve most of the menopausal symptoms, such as:

hot flushes
night sweats
mood swings
vaginal dryness
reduced sex drive

Many of these symptoms pass after a few years, but they can be unpleasant and taking HRT can offer relief for many women.

It can also help prevent weakening of the bones (osteoporosis), which is more common after the menopause.

Elleste Solo can help relieve these symptoms in order to supplement the body’s oestrogen levels.

Elleste Solo Tablets are a prescription-only hormone replacement therapy (HRT), that contain oestrogen only. They can be used by women to relieve those pesky symptoms of menopause.

If you have had a hysterectomy (an operation to remove the uterus), oestrogen is the only hormone you will need to replace.

If you have not had your uterus removed, you will be prescribed a progestogen medicine alongside Elleste Solo or you may use a combined HRT.
