Yes. LIVVE's weight-management pathway is available to eligible adults of all genders. Suitability is based on clinical criteria, medical history, current medicines and individual treatment goals.

Foundayo may be considered for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 alongside at least one weight-related health condition. Eligibility is confirmed through an individual clinical assessment and is not based on BMI alone.

Take one tablet once daily. Foundayo can be taken at any time of day, with or without food and without specific water restrictions. Swallow the tablet whole and do not break, crush or chew it.

No. More than one Foundayo tablet a day should not be taken to achieve a higher dose. Use only the strength prescribed for you.

Contact LIVVE, NHS 111 or another appropriate healthcare professional promptly. Taking too much may increase the risk of nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dehydration and other adverse effects. Seek urgent help if symptoms are severe.

A switch may be considered for some people, but it must be planned by a prescriber. Foundayo, Wegovy and Mounjaro have different active ingredients and dose schedules, so they cannot be exchanged on a direct dose-for-dose basis.

Foundayo should not be used alongside another GLP-1 weight-management medicine. Do not overlap Foundayo with Wegovy, Mounjaro, Ozempic, Rybelsus or another related treatment unless your prescriber is managing a planned transition.

No. Foundayo contains orforglipron and acts on the GLP-1 receptor. Mounjaro contains tirzepatide, acts on GIP and GLP-1 receptors and is given as a weekly injection. There is currently no tablet version of Mounjaro.

No. Foundayo contains orforglipron, while oral Wegovy contains semaglutide. Both are daily GLP-1 tablets, but Foundayo can be taken with or without food and does not require oral Wegovy's fasting routine.

Possibly. Foundayo is authorised for type 2 diabetes as well as weight management, but your diabetes medicines and glucose control require review. Insulin or sulphonylurea doses may need adjustment to reduce the risk of low blood sugar.

Foundayo may reduce the effectiveness of oral hormonal contraception. Use a non-oral method or add a barrier method for 30 days after starting Foundayo and for 30 days after every dose increase. Discuss contraception with your clinician.

No. Foundayo should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell LIVVE promptly if you become pregnant, think you may be pregnant, are planning pregnancy or are breastfeeding.

Foundayo should be stopped at least three weeks before a planned pregnancy. Speak to your clinician before stopping so that your treatment and wider health can be reviewed.

It may be possible, but your full HRT regimen, contraceptive needs, medical history and other medicines still need review. Foundayo can delay stomach emptying, so your clinician should know about all oral medicines you take.

Some medicines can increase or reduce orforglipron exposure, including certain strong CYP3A4 inhibitors and inducers. Foundayo can also affect medicines including simvastatin, and extra care may be required with rosuvastatin, insulin, sulphonylureas and oral contraception. Your complete medicine and supplement list must be reviewed.

Yes. Foundayo delays stomach emptying. Tell your surgical, endoscopy or anaesthetic team that you take orforglipron and follow their instructions. Do not stop treatment automatically unless advised.

The most common side effects include nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, vomiting, indigestion and abdominal pain. They are often more noticeable during dose escalation and may improve as the body adjusts.

Seek urgent medical advice for severe and persistent abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, serious dehydration, symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, sudden changes in vision or other rapidly worsening symptoms.

Alcohol is not automatically prohibited, but it may worsen nausea, indigestion, dizziness or dehydration and can affect blood glucose. Consider limiting alcohol when starting treatment or increasing your dose.

Your clinician will discuss weight maintenance, nutrition, activity, relapse prevention and whether continuing, adjusting or stopping treatment is appropriate. Do not change or stop treatment without advice.

In the ATTAIN-1 trial, people receiving the highest studied dose lost an average of approximately 11.1% of their starting body weight over 72 weeks in the analysis including everyone who began treatment. A separate analysis estimating results if participants remained on treatment reported approximately 12.4%. These are group averages, not individual guarantees.

Some people may notice changes in hunger or cravings during the first few days or weeks, but progress develops gradually. The dose is increased slowly to support tolerability. Do not increase your dose early if you have not noticed an immediate change.
